Morocco’s Organic Premium Argan Oil

Atlas Mountains & Sous Valley Region in Morocco Argan products are made from the unique Argan nuts, found exclusively in the Moroccan Atlas Mountains & Sous Valley region. Berber women earn a living traditionally by harvesting these nuts in the summer, picking, cracking open the nuts and selling them at the market. The unique argan nuts from the argan tree is an essential natural resource to sustain the livelihood of the Berber community life and its economy. We collaborate with suppliers who source the kernels from the women’s cooperative associated with fair trade principles with the assurance that the growers and co-op owners get a fair amount of income for the hard work of traditional hand-made methods. The goal of our collaboration is to share the richness and beauty recipes of organic Moroccan oils with our customers whilst supporting the local Berber community and helping to sustain the livelihood of the Berber women and families, preserving the traditional trade of social minorities and the argan trees as well.

Morocco’s Rose Water

Keelat M’gouna, Damascus Roses In the small town of Keelat M’gouna that is where the best Damascus roses are cultivated. Acres of rose fields are grown in this region which is the world famous “Rose Valley”, renowned for producing the best rose water in the world. The roses are harvested and the rose petals undergo a process which uses approximately three thousand kilograms of rose petals to extract a liter of rose oil. Rose water is a fragrant, clean and fresh liquid product and has been used in perfumery, cosmetics and medicine for many centuries. The reason for its premium price tag is the fact that a substantial amount of four thousand two hundred kilometers of rose hedges can only produce one thousand four hundred liters of the product. Rosehip oil is harvested and extracted from the seeds of rose bushes and it is rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and essential fatty acids. It is used as a natural moisturizer for beauty treatment. As it has Vitamins A, C and E, it is anti-aging, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and is used to treat signs of pigmentation, wrinkles, hyrdrate and repair damaged skin.
